Start with the cause of the loss
A reduction in balance or in value does not, on its own, explain what happened. To assess a possible cover, reconstruct the cause: was there a price change, an operational error, a compromise of access or a failure of a service? That distinction guides how the contract is read.
Under market risk, the price can fall even when the network, the wallet and the providers work as expected. Finovex Insurance does not undertake to guarantee profitability or to compensate for any price movement. A financial loss is not, by itself, enough to establish a covered event.
Sending errors, exposure of a recovery phrase and improper authorisations involve different mechanisms. Identify which action occurred and which access was affected. Then check the exclusions and the requirements; do not infer eligibility merely from the use of the word “incident”.
Failures of a protocol, of custody, of a bridge, of validation, of a peg or of an exchange may involve third parties or mechanisms on which the position depended. A cover may provide for specific events in those families. Even so, the description of the event must be read together with the applicable limits and exclusions.
Read the version linked to the policy
A contract makes it possible to compare what happened with criteria defined before purchase. Instead of looking only for the name of a risk family, find the event that can trigger the cover, the excluded situations and the conditions the policyholder must meet.
Each published FINOVEX cover has a contractual version. The policy remains linked to the version used at purchase; a later revision does not replace that document. To review your case, check the reference on the policy itself.
Events, exclusions, limits and eligibility have to be read together. An event may seem compatible with the category and still fall outside the conditions because of an exclusion, the policy term or a required declaration.
Turn the reading into concrete questions
Before you purchase, check which event is provided for, which positions must be declared, during which period the cover applies and which evidence would be required. Also check the waiting period and the final deadline for notifying a claim. These questions help assess the scope without assuming broader protection.
When addresses are declared, check each network and each address before confirming. At FINOVEX, these details stay linked to the purchase and do not allow a later edit. Keep the contract and the policy references so that a possible incident can be related to the applicable conditions.
